DAG Community Networks – Chairs Forum Monday 22nd March 6pm
Following on from the success of the first Chairs Forum held last month, DAG is pleased to announce that the next Chairs Forum will take place on Monday 22nd March at 6pm.
Last month over 40 chairs from across the Devon local authority joined the interactive session to share their experience and discuss the latest issues affecting governance. Those who attended were chairs of governing boards, chairs of academy trusts and chairs of local academy bodies.
Each discussion forum has a theme chosen by the forum members and is facilitated by DAG board members with considerable chairing experience.
The theme for the next forum on Monday 22nd March at 6pm will be:
‘Engaging with stakeholders’
The forum will discuss how boards gather and respond to the views of the school community, including parents, pupils, staff and the wider community beyond the school gates. Members are asked to register in advance via [email protected]
The Devon Association of Governance (DAG) provides a range of information and resources to support chairs in their complex and challenging role.
All chairs in Devon schools are automatically members of DAG and have free access to DAG website resources specifically created for chairs and regular DAG e-newsletters. DAG also provides opportunities to learn and network for free at DAG events such as conferences, seminars and community network events.
