Chairs Forum – 8th February 6pm

COVID-19 has placed significant restrictions on every aspect of our lives including how governance operates. We are very much aware that whilst chairs carry their considerable responsibility lightly many will be feeling the weight of the role at this moment in time. DAG can help, and to support chairs in schools in our Devon Local Authority more, we are launching our DAG Community Network for Chairs.

The DAG Community Network for Chairs will take the form of a forum each half term providing an opportunity for chairs of governing boards, chairs of academy trusts or chairs of local academy bodies from across the county to join an interactive hour-long session to discuss the latest issues affecting governance in 2021.

Each discussion forum will have a theme and will be facilitated by DAG board members with considerable chairing experience.

The theme for the first forum on Monday 8th February at 6pm will be: Governance in 2021 – Remaining Resilient and members will be asked to register in advance via [email protected]

The Devon Association of Governance (DAG) provides a range of information and resources to support chairs of governing boards in their complex and challenging role.

All chairs in Devon schools are automatically members of DAG and have free access to DAG website resources specifically created for chairs and regular DAG e-newsletters. DAG also provides opportunities to learn and network for free at DAG events such as conferences and seminars.
