FOI Request from ITV

The Devon Local Authority has become aware that schools may have received a Freedom of Information (FOI) request from ITV regarding the presence of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) in their school.

As the responsible body, Devon has undertaken a review of their premises and note that the presence of RAAC is also part of the quinquennial condition survey process. After review and on-going condition survey visits Devon do not believe that they have any RAAC in their school estate.

Schools are advised that if they choose to respond to the FOI request from ITV they should make use of specific wording as supplied in the latest Schools Leadership Update (12.01.23).
