Spring Seminar on Rural Deprivation – Monday 20th March

Have you booked your place at DAG’s Spring Seminar on Monday 20th March at 6.00 pm? The seminar will consider socio economic disadvantage, cultural isolation and geographic remoteness that challenges many schools in Devon by limiting their access to resources necessary for school improvement.

Recent research shows that in the South West 17% of disadvantaged students went on to university in 2018/19, the lowest rate of all English regions, compared with 45% in London. (Social Mobility in the South West – 2022).

DAG is delighted that Professor Tanya Ovenden-Hope will be our speaker at our DAG Spring Seminar. Tanya will update governors, trustees and clerks on the nature of place-based disadvantage in Devon.

To reserve your place and receive your online invitation email [email protected] as soon as possible. This seminar is free to attend for all governors, trustees, clerks and governance professionals in the Devon LA area.
