Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week, Monday 15 to Sunday 21 May and this year the focus is on anxiety.
Mental Health Awareness Week will increase people’s awareness and understanding of anxiety by providing information on the things that can help prevent it from becoming a problem. At the same time, The Mental Health Foundation will keep up the pressure to demand change – making sure that improving mental health is a key priority for the government and society as a whole. The Mental Health Foundation have lots of information around this year’s theme.
How does your school support staff mental health? Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families is a useful website and has a booklet on Supporting Staff Wellbeing that offers practical guidance for school staff and senior leader to support their own and their colleagues’ wellbeing.
