Governors and Trustees needed for the Devon Education Forum – apply by 26th November

Schools forums are an important contact point between the local authority and education providers so that through debate, discussion and challenge, secure financial strategic planning and an equitable distribution of finance is achieved for all pupils within the local authority.

The latest agenda for the Devon Education Forum meeting being held on Wednesday 22nd November is now available on the Devon County Council website, along with the previous minutes, follow the link here. The meeting will be discussing:

  • The Devon schools’ funding consultation responses
  • The latest information from the Schools Finance Group
  • The latest information from the Schools Organisation, Capital and Admissions Forum
  • The latest education and learning update, including attendance and exclusions.

The Devon Association of Governance (DAG) has nine members sitting on the Devon forum and holds the position of chair and vice chair. We are looking for new members to join us in January 2024 and would be delighted to hear from governors and trustees who would consider taking on this additional voluntary role. Meetings are held four times a year on a Wednesday morning and have been held remotely and in person at County Hall in Exeter.
