Congratulations!

The King’s Birthday Honours List 2024 was published on 14^th June, on the King’s official birthday.

In Devon two of the honours awarded were linked to education, the first was an MBE awarded to Alex Walmsley, Chair of Trustees, The First Federation Trust, for services to Education. The First Federation is a Multi Academy Trust of 21 primary schools located across Devon and into Dorset.  Alex is a former chair of the Devon Association of Governance (DAG) and is currently vice chair of the Devon Education Forum (DEF).

The second was an OBE to Moira Marder, Chief Executive Officer, the Ted Wragg Trust, for services to education. The Ted Wragg Trust, is a Multi Academy Trust of 16 schools across Devon.
