The Pearson National Teaching Awards have been announced

These annual awards offer the chance to showcase the incredible work taking place in education across the UK and are announced to coincide with national ‘Thank a Teacher’ day.

The awards enable teaching and support staff across early years, schools and colleges to feel appreciated, celebrated and proud of the work they do and the difference they make.

A total of 102 winners, teachers, support staff and leaders from across the UK’s schools and colleges have received silver awards with the opportunity to win 16 gold awards which will be announced later this year.

Three silver award winners are from Plymouth, Alasdair Williams, from Ernesettle Community School has received an award for Primary school teacher of the year and in the ‘Making a difference category – primary school of the year’, Tor Bridge Primary School also in Plymouth has received an award.  Both schools are part of The Inspire Multi Academy Trust (South West).  Marine Academy Primary in Plymouth also received a Silver Award in the ‘Making a Difference – Primary School of the Year’ category and is part of the Ted Wragg Trust.
