Devon County Council has written to schools and governors about the support for pupils, including SEND pupils that schools fund from their own budget, it’s called Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP).
They have been working closely with parents, children, young people and schools to develop a framework to promote consistent OAIP across all primary and secondary schools in Devon. The framework brings together the simple, every day, low-cost, low-resource things that schools do which make a big difference to all children and support parents, children and young people to better understand the support that can be provided in their local mainstream school.

The second part of the framework focuses on Ordinarily Available Targeted Support for pupils with SEND. This is under development and will be shared later in the Autumn Term.
