The Prevent Duty has been in the news recently in relation to terror attacks. The threat of a terrorist attack in the UK is currently assessed as substantial, meaning an attack is likely.
The DfE Regional Prevent Education Coordinators (RPECs) will be delivering training sessions aimed at designated safeguarding leads and school governors to support them in understanding the Prevent duty and their safeguarding responsibilities in protecting young people from radicalisation and extremism, details below of the free training for school governors.
The training package has been designed by DfE for school governors to understand their responsibilities and the importance of the Prevent duty.
