The DfE have published the National Key Stage 2 SATs results.
The results show a slight increase in the proportion of pupils meeting the “expected” standard, with 62% meeting the required standard in reading, writing and maths which is up from 61% in 2024.
The results have improved year on year from the post pandemic level of 59% and are getting closer to the pre pandemic level of 65%.

The results show that just under three in 10 pupils (29.4 per cent) at the end of key stage 2 were assessed as not meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined.
