Devon Inclusion Strategy 2026–2029

Devon have launched their Inclusion Strategy 2026–2029 and accompanying Implementation Plan.

The strategy is based on the feedback received from schools and settings in the Summer Term and sets out the shared ambition for an inclusive education system in Devon, where every child and young person experiences belonging, can participate fully and receives the support they need to thrive.

The Implementation Plan explains how this will be taken forward building on five core principles:

• Every child belongs
• Support early, support well
• We share responsibility
• Equity for every child
• A system you can trust.

Devon have asked that everyone takes time to read both documents including the leadership team, SENCO, governors or trustees and relevant colleagues and then  discuss how the priorities connect with existing inclusion work and where working together could make the greatest difference.
