In Devon schools receiving a ‘good’ judgement, they note that trustees or governors do hold leaders to account for the quality of education and ensure that a school has a clear vision and strategy. Where the trust has a local governing board or committee Ofsted will note that it does provide appropriate support and challenge and also note where the trust and the LGB work together well to make sure that the school is well led.
