DAG 2022 Retrospective

After another demanding autumn term for governors, trustees, clerks and governance professionals across Devon, DAG would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our members a peaceful break. We would also like to look back at another challenging year just to remind you how DAG has supported governance, we have:

  • Published over 150 articles on the DAG website providing the latest information for our members
  • Published weekly newsletters with articles in full direct to your inbox
  • Updated and added to our website resource ‘DAG Busy Governor and Clerk guides’ to keep you up to date
  • Published the DAG ‘Effective Chairs’ resource each term to support chairs to get ahead of the agenda
  • Updated the ‘Fit for purpose/How Effective Are You’ quiz providing specific versions for maintained governors, academy trustees and academy local governing bodies to check how effective we are in understanding our core functions
  • Hosted regular DAG Chairs Forum and DAG Clerks Forum sessions online to support networking
  • Provided our Summer Term Ofsted Seminar from the Ofsted Regional Director South West online to hear directly from this key organisation
  • Represented governors and clerks at the Devon Education Forum and Local Authority committees to ensure your voice is heard
  • Responded to individual governor and clerk questions.

And it’s all provided free!

Have an enjoyable break from governance and we look forward to supporting you in this important role during 2023.
