For the last thirty years DAG has been supporting schools to come together through free conferences, seminars and more recently interactive community network forums to consider topics that have a real impact on Devon governance.
The next DAG Community Network forum for Clerks will be held on Wednesday 7th June at 6.00pm. This free event for clerks, and governance professionals will focus on effective agendas and meeting preparation.
The next DAG Seminar will be held on Wednesday 14th June 2023. This series of free online seminars for all those involved in governance continues this term with this popular seminar by James McNeillie Ofsted’s Regional Director for the South West. He will be talking to DAG members about the inspection process and their focus on SEND. Please register in advance for this event via [email protected]. The spring term seminar, on disadvantage in Devon, by Professor Tanya Ovenden-Hope was very well received and can still be accessed on the events page of our website www.dagdevon.uk .
The next DAG Community Network forum for Chairs on Monday 26th June at 6pm will provide an opportunity for chairs from across the county in maintained and academy schools to join an interactive hour-long session to hear from Hannah Woodhouse, South West Regional Director, Department for Education on the direction of travel for our schools, the department’s policy on academisation, the White Paper, the Academies Regulatory and Commissioning Review and the development of a clear approach to trust quality and commissioning.
