DAG is delighted to host a discussion on this important topic for all schools, maintained and academy. The event is open to chairs in all schools, if chairs are unable to attend then a nominated governor or trustee can attend in their place so their board doesn’t miss out on information affecting their future.
The DAG Community Network for Chairs event on Monday 26th June will be at 6pm and provide an opportunity for chairs or their representatives from across the county in maintained and academy schools to join an interactive hour-long session to discuss the path to a fully trust school system with the Department for Education South West Regional Director.
Hannah Woodhouse, SW Regional Director, Department of Education will be outlining the direction of travel for all schools, the department’s policy on academisation and the 2022 White Paper, the Academies Regulatory and Commissioning Review and the development of a clear approach to trust quality and commissioning. There will be time for questions.
DAG supports chairs in schools in our Devon Local Authority to come together to consider topics that have real impact on Devon governance. All chairs in Devon schools are automatically members of DAG and have free access to DAG events, newsletters and website resources.
