Have you ever wondered whether your board is having an impact on the quality of the education of the children in your school or academy? How do volunteers keep a deliberate and determined focus on pupil outcomes?
Michael Barton is a National Governance Association (NGA) Regional Governance Development Lead and will lead a session on how governance can make a real impact. Michael has over six years of experience of working on the NGA Advice Line, expertise in trust governance, co-ordinating NGA’s work with multi-academy trusts and producing tailored resources. He also now leads NGA’s work in the South West, where he will work closely with the region’s trusts and local authorities.
The National Association of Governance (NGA) has over 80,000 members and uses their research and insights to provide trusted information, advice and professional development to support governing boards, in maintained schools and academies. This national organisation is at the forefront of governance representation and is trusted by 70% of all schools and trusts in England who pay to access their resources.
