After another demanding autumn term for governors, trustees, clerks and governance professionals across Devon, DAG would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our members a peaceful break. We would also like to look back at another challenging year just to remind you how DAG has supported governance, we have:
- Published over 150 articles on the DAG website providing the latest information for our members
- Published weekly newsletters with articles in full direct to your inbox
- Updated and added to our website resource ‘DAG Busy Governor and Clerk guides’ to keep you up to date
- Published the DAG ‘Effective Chairs’ resource each term to support chairs to get ahead of the agenda
- Updated the ‘Fit for purpose/How Effective Are You’ quiz providing specific versions for maintained governors, academy trustees and academy local governing bodies
- Hosted regular DAG Chairs Forum and DAG Clerks Forum sessions online to share good practice and support networking
- Provided a Spring Term Seminar on ‘Rural Deprivation’
- Provided our regular Summer Term Ofsted Seminar from the Ofsted Regional Director South West
- Hosted a successful Autumn term ‘in person’ conference on ‘Making an Impact’
- Represented governors and clerks at the Devon Education Forum and Local Authority committees to ensure your voice is heard
- Responded to individual governor and clerk questions.
