Congratulations to everyone at Shaldon Primary School in Teignmouth, where Ofsted inspectors judged the school to be ‘outstanding’ across all five inspection categories. The school was last inspected in 2014 and was judged ‘outstanding’ then too.
Shaldon School is part of The Academies for Character and Excellence trust. The inspectors said of the governance of the school:
‘Governance of the school is highly effective. Staff say that the school leaders consider their workload and well-being when making decisions. Trustees and the local governing body have a precise understanding of the school’s strengths and areas that the school needs to focus on to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.’
