School Resource Management Self-Assessment Checklist and Schools Financial Value Statement

It’s that time of year when maintained schools and academies are required to complete their self-assessment financial checklist.

For academies, the annual self-assessment checklist helps them to check that they are managing resources effectively and to identify any adjustments they need to make. The online form covers six areas including governance and needs to be submitted by March 2026.

For maintained schools, schools financial value standard (SFVS) explains the financial health and resource management standards schools need to confirm they have met in the schools financial value standard (SFVS). This needs to be submitted to the Local Authority by 31st March 2026
