This month there are a few consultations running, have a look at the following topics and links for more information:

• Early years screen time and usage: call for evidence. This is an opportunity to provide evidence that will inform the development of new parental guidance on screen time and usage for early years (0-5 year-old) children. Closes 16 February 2026
• Child Protection Authority. The government is consulting on the Child Protection Authority (CPA), a national body to improve child protection. Closes 5 March 2026
• Fostering for the future: improving the foster care system. This call for evidence focuses on areas where the DfE want to gather further information from the sector and those with lived experience about possible future reforms to the fostering system. Closes 17 March 2026
• Devon food in schools survey. DCC Public Health is exploring how best to support a whole-school approach to food, prior to commissioning a new support programme for schools. Free prize draw to win £250 to spend on food preparation or activity equipment for your school. Closes 27 February.
