Does your school offer a broad range of culturally enriching experiences?

Following the publication of the Schools White Paper Every Child Achieving and Thriving, is your schools is offering a broad range of culturally enriching experiences?

Some questions to consider:

• Does your school have links with any local or national cultural organisations?
• What kinds of school trips take place throughout the year?
• Are there any factors limiting your schools’ ability to run field trips?
• Are culturally enriching experiences such as school trips affordable and accessible for all students?
• Are all pupils able to take part in cultural opportunities, regardless of ability or special needs?

From September all trustees and governors especially those in local governing boards or committees will need to be able to answer these questions when Ofsted ask and talk about any factors limiting certain pupils’ ability to get involved with cultural opportunities.
