The Local Authority has written to schools to inform them that the Devon local area is expecting a Local Area SEND inspection in the autumn term.
This will be a joint inspection carried out by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which evaluates how effectively education, health and care services work together to support children and young people with SEND.
When the inspection is notified, Devon will ask all schools, settings and services to share survey links widely with parents/carers, pupils (where appropriate) and staff to support participation and ensure as many voices as possible are heard while making the surveys visible through schools’ usual communication channels.
The Local Authority will provide further information and the survey links as soon as they receive notification of the inspection.
