The Devon Association of Governance (DAG) is looking for a new member to join the team.

DAG Social Media Co-ordinator

An opportunity exists for a creative and enthusiastic serving school governor or trustee, clerk or governance professional to help strengthen and grow the DAG social media presence. The role would suit someone who understands governance and knows how to turn ideas, events and stories into engaging content that will inform, connect and inspire all those involved in governance across Devon.

What it involves:

• Managing and developing DAG’s social media presence
• Creating engaging posts, graphics and other content
• Promoting DAG events, training, news and activities
• Helping to reach more governors and raise awareness of DAG
• Working with board members and officers to identify great stories and content
• Attending DAG Board meetings and contribute to communications planning
• Monitoring engagement and suggesting new ideas for growing DAG’s reach.

A currently serving school governor or trustee, clerk or governance professional with experience or a real flair for social media and communications would be suited to this role, someone who is:

• Creative, confident and a good communicator
• Organised and able to work independently
• Comfortable working with volunteers and board members
• Passionate about supporting effective governance.

This is a flexible freelance role with an agreed monthly commitment and fee, working predominantly remotely, with attendance at DAG Board meetings required.
