Association of Colleges – The AoC represents general Further Education (FE)colleges, sixth form colleges and specialist colleges in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Some 98% of colleges are in Association of Colleges membership. FE and Sixth Form Colleges in England serve more 16-18 year olds than schools, (600,000 compared with 400,000) and over twice as many adults as universities (3.5 million adult learners in FE).
