The National Governance Association (NGA) CEO, Emma Balchin, and Deputy CEO, Sam Henson, have met with The Schools Minister, Catherine McKinnell MP who acknowledged governance as essential for supporting government policy changes and reforms.
The Schools Minister is reported as expressing gratitude for the “city-sized” population of volunteers who generously dedicate their time to governing schools and trusts. The NGA report that she is committed to raising the profile of their vital work and ensuring their voices are included in policymaking discussions.
Catherine McKinnell MP is also responsible for reforming the SEND system.
