Devon EHCP Framework

Following a pilot with a selected group of Devon schools  Devon will introduce a new EHCP consultation framework from 20^th April 2026.

The new consultation approach asks schools and settings to consider how they can adapt their provision, remove barriers and outline what would enable them to meet a child or young person’s needs. This collaborative approach will help more children attend and thrive in their community settings, in line with Devon’s Inclusion and Learning Strategy.

To support further development, there will be  a short survey towards the end of the summer term to gather schools views on the new framework, with the final version, introduced from September 2026.
